Education is an investment for the future says James Marshall

We have quoted Benjamin Franklin a few times over the last few months.

One of the founding fathers of the United States of America, he is accredited as a writer, scientist, inventor, statesman, diplomat, printer, publisher and political philosopher.

He also had things to say about education, one of which was “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”

Another quote comes from Nelson Mandela, who said: “Education is the most powerful weapon with which you can change the world.”

A third quote relevant to what we are talking about here, comes from Malcolm X, a controversial figure to many, but it is hard to disagree with this: “Education is the passport to the future. For tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.”

All of the quotes can be applied to business. The first shows how education can help achieve the best bottom line, the second demonstrates how learning and research can keep you ahead of the game, especially with technology, and the third highlights the importance of preparing for the future.

For accountancy firms, as the relentless advances of technology gather pace, they demonstrate the importance of educating and training staff to stay ahead of the game.

But sometimes a helping hand is needed. In the fast-paced world of technological change, where outsourcing your work becomes a priority, you need to know that everything is in the hands of a professional and well-sourced partner.

Recognition for commitment to employees

GI Outsourcing puts education right at the heart of its business model with its GI Academy. Its commitment to the training of its team has reaped rewards, not least with being accepted into the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer scheme.

The programme recognises employers’ learning and development policies and systems.

GI has also received a number of other awards for excellence within the industry and has proven that it offers some of the best outsourcing solutions. Whether this is using our offshore service in India or our UK-based cloud technology experts, we always have an answer.

How does our outsourcing model work?

We don’t just provide a person and say, ‘there you go’, our commitment is to provide a well-rounded and skilled individual, who can hit the ground running straight away.

For all of our staff, we have an ongoing investment through GI Academy. We also put them through a process when we start them, which makes sure we supply the best possible candidates directly to our clients.

For all our staff we have an ongoing commitment to training whether with human skills or technical skills, software development, making sure we supply the best cloud-based accounting solutions to our clients.

At GI Academy, we are proud to demonstrate how we are different, how our offering works and why we are competitive in pricing.

We have a happy staff who are doing a great job. We are happy to reward them with excellent pay, pensions and benefits.

That’s a good thing for ethical purposes and we are very happy with this. Our staff seem to agree and we were delighted to have been recognised by World HRD Congress 2021 as winners of the 2021 ‘Dream Company to Work For’ award.

In addition, our high levels of expertise can trickle down and assist team members working for our clients

Partnering with a specialist like GI allows accountants to pursue new clients, while many of the run-of-the-mill tasks, like payroll and bookkeeping, can be outsourced, or we keep you up to speed with the latest cloud technology.

Expensive recruitment is diminished, costs are reduced, efficiency is increased and the bottom line looks so much better as new clients come on board. You choose how much help you need to cover temporary or longer-term shortfalls.

Trained to the highest standards

Our team leaders and departmental heads have been trained and inducted to the very highest standards of team management and we are always on the lookout for people who are passionate about business, determined to deliver the highest levels of service, and who want to make a difference.

The GI Academy ensures that trainees and leaders of the future have full access to a range of training courses to enhance their skills and acquire additional expertise.

Our courses encompass people management skills, feedback sharing, technical training, persuasion skills and access to external professional qualifications to ensure our people are fully equipped to progress career ambitions with confidence.
