Leading UK accountancy outsourcer shortlisted for two major cloud computing awards

Leading UK accountancy outsourcer, GI Outsourcing, has been recognised for its cloud computing innovation during the pandemic, with two shortlistings at the prestigious Cloud Excellence Awards 2021.

The firm has been shortlisted in both the Best Cloud Transformation in the Pandemic and the Best use of Cloud in the Pandemic categories at the awards, organised by Computing.

GI Outsourcing is in rarefied company, being shortlisted alongside some of the world’s biggest and best-known businesses.

The rigorous judging process has seen GI make detailed written submissions, setting out how they have used the cloud in innovative ways to continue supporting clients in the UK and enabling staff in the UK and India to work from home when required by local guidelines.

At the same time, GI Outsourcing has launched its GI Cloud Consultancy service, which sees its experts advising UK-based accountancy firms and their clients on how to optimally configure cloud apps to meet the needs of their businesses and automate key processes.

James Marshall, Commercial Director at GI Outsourcing, said: “The cloud has been a vital tool in ensuring the continuity of our own business during the pandemic as well as those of our clients and, in turn, their clients.

“At the same time, the launch of GI Cloud Consultancy is enabling us to deliver the added value of enabling our clients to organise and automate the information flowing through their businesses, complementing our core outsourcing services.

“Our team is now looking forward to the ceremony, where we will celebrate our shortlistings and find out whether we will be named as the winners.”

The winners of the Cloud Excellence Awards will be announced at a ceremony in central London on 23 September.
