2018 was a whirlwind and most definitely one of the busiest years for us. After months of planning, we can officially say we rocked 2018!
We firstly should mention our team growth, we hit a new record number of people who work for us, with a whopping 13 UK staff members.
Because we like to work closely with the best in the market, this year we started working with an exceptionally endorsed influencer in the industry, Mark Lee. He is highly regarded, engaging, enthusiastic and energetic professional speaker for accountants. He has joined us to support us and to explore outsourcing within the industry.
In July, we were once again shortlisted for the British Accountancy Awards ‘Independent firm of the year South East England 2018. As we are not fully fledged accountants, this is a big achievement for us – being recognised for our quality and growth.
We cannot forget to mention when we met ‘THE’ Steve Vamos (CEO of Xero); we couldn’t miss a chance to take a cheeky selfie. Head to our twitter page @Global_Infosys to have a peak at our 5mins of fame.
2018 wasn’t just all fun, there was some ‘serious’ work involved – when GDPR was announced, UK and India worked together to ensure our operations changed, improved and became compliant. Due to the nature of the business and working with client data – all the responsibility regarding our stored data, how we receive and send documents we took the opportunity and became General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant – with much hard work and long nights, we officially hold an ISO 27001 certified.
We were recognised for our marketing communication, in 2018, Global Infosys was listed in the best top 10 bookkeeping blogs. We are actively working to educate, inspire, and empower our readers with frequent updates and high-quality information. This meant a great deal to us, as after years of experience, our expertise is being accredited.
Global Infosys attended the largest number of events ever recorded.
We kicked off the year whilst exhibiting at our 1st ever Ireland event in May 2018; The Chartered Accountants Ireland Annual Conference – with huge success we met a number of fantastic clients out there.
With Accountex followed shortly behind, we managed to meet some great partners and of course clients- not forgetting we had Heather Townsend and the millionaires club with us.
From then, majority of our events were held in a hectic November with our team having 6 events in just 1 month. Eek!
Our events tour bus saw one of the busiest months of the year. It started in Birmingham with our 2020 webinar and took us through to Expo Live exhibition (where we were able to catch up with many of our oldest clients). We worked our way back down to London to hold our very own networking drinks just before the upmost famous Xerocon where we saw the greatest show of all (not forgetting the #XeroconParty, where you may have caught us on Karaoke Cam)- picture our CEO singing’ Daddy Cool’ J. We took a pit stop at The Business show and our final party, we headed to the 2018, 2020 annual conference…
Our final event of the month was the cherry on top! Winning ‘Outsourcer of the Year 2018’…Woop Woop! Which took us by total surprise – what an achievement and great credibility to our firm. The 2020 group were a huge part of our success last year. They recognised our achievement by awarding us this amazing award.
This could not have happened without all our clients. Thank you for putting your trust in us, we have developed not only good quality work but forming even better working relationship with our clients which mean we are achieving our goal – to be the number one in client servicing!
